No Public Holiday of Friday - Lagos State Government


The Lagos State Government on Wednesday clarified reports making the rounds that it had declared Friday, March 8 as Public Holiday for Civil Servants, saying the information was untrue.

A report currently circulating on social media platforms had suggested that the State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode had declared Friday as a public holiday to enable Lagosians to prepare for the March 9 Governorship and House of Assembly elections.

According to reports, A Federal High Court disqualifies Okorocha's son-in-law, UCHE NWOSU. ordered INEC to return the AA ticket to the right candidate. It was gathered that Sir Leonard Okolienta is the rightful winner of the AA governorship which was held on the 5th of Oct 2018 before it was hijacked by the governor.

Oshiomhole Does Not Have The Powers To Suspend Me - Okorocha


The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has said that Adams Oshiomhole, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has no powers to suspend him.

Reacting to his suspension from the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, he said Adams Oshiohmole is plotting to destroy the APC in the southeast.

Osibanjo Meets Kukah, Abdulsalami At The Villa


The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, a former military Head of State, Gen. Abdusalami Abubakar, and other members of the National Peace Committee are currently in a meeting with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, The PUNCH understands.

Our correspondent learned that the members of the committee ended their meeting with the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, around 8pm and headed to the Presidential Villa where another meeting began with Osinbajo.
